Front Crankshaft Radial Sealing Ring Installer – MERCEDES-BENZ (M133/M270)

• 1.) Deburr edge of mounting hole for the radial shaft sealing ring (5) on timing case
       cover and clean mounting hole. Circumference and sealing lip of crankshaft radial
       shaft sealing ring (5) as well as the mating surface on the vibration damper/belt
       pulley must be free of oil and grease.
• 2.) Place radial shaft sealing ring (5) on timing case cover and align at right angles
        to the timing case cover.
• 3.) Indent radial shaft sealing ring (5) with M0066A flush in timing case cover. Press
       radial shaft sealing ring (5) with this M0066A through tightening the center bolt (3)
       of the crankshaft in the timing case cover.
• 4.) Check installation location of the radial shaft sealing ring (5) relative to the
        crankshaft journal (1).
• 5.) The radial shaft sealing ring (5) must stand at right angles to the crankshaft
        journal (1). Leaks can occur otherwise.

• 3.) Indent radial shaft sealing ring (5) with M0066A flush in timing case cover. Press
       radial shaft sealing ring (5) with this M0066A through tightening the center bolt (3)
       of the crankshaft in the timing case cover.
• 4.) Check installation location of the radial shaft sealing ring (5) relative to the
        crankshaft journal (1).
• 5.) The radial shaft sealing ring (5) must stand at right angles to the crankshaft
        journal (1). Leaks can occur otherwise.
