•On some vehicles in the Volkswagen, Audi Group the sub-frame needs to be removed to service teh suspension bushes, when removing the clutch, changing the engine, servicing the wheels, steering, stabilizer bar or control arms.

•These pins are screwed into the sub-frame and used to guide it back into place once the task is complete.

•Care should be taken to bolt back diagonally and to the manufacturer’s recommended torque.
