Mercedes-Benz (M271) Alignment Tool Kit

• A.) Timing Chain Retainer.       OEM: 271 589 01 40 00.
• B.) Camshaft Retainer.             OEM: 271 589 00 61 00.
• C.) Chain Tensioner Drift.         OEM: 271 589 00 15 00.
• D.) Timing Chain Tension Key. OEM: 271 589 00 31 00.
• E.) OEM: 271 589 00 10 09.

• Application: Mercedes Benz (M271).
• (A) - Use for drawing in the timing chain. Retain the timing chain with the camshaft
          sprocket in mesh. Make it possible to position the camshaft in installed position.
• (B) - Make it possible to slacken and tighten the bolts attaching the camshaft gear.
• (C) - To install the plug into the timing case covering (access to the chain tensioner).
• (D) - For unloading the timing chain tensioning device. Release the timing chain (1).
          To do this, (D) in the timing case and push back the tensioning rail (2).
• (E) - For removal of the crankshaft front gear wheel. Release the timing chain (1).
          To do this, insert (B) in the timing case and push back the tensioning rail (2)
